About Compostable raw materials
Compostable products are crafted from materials that microorganisms can completely decompose. These substances mainly include natural polysaccharides like starch, cellulose, and chitosan. A vital attribute of these products is the preservation of their properties, such as strength and durability, throughout their shelf life.
Once used and exposed to the natural environment, these compostable materials are capable of full degradation. This process leads to the formation of carbon dioxide and water, seamlessly integrating them back into the ecological cycle and thus minimizing environmental impact. The composting of these materials plays a significant role in the sustainability cycle, ensuring that they are not merely discarded but returned to the environment in a useful manner.
The natural organic materials used in their production impart a light corn aroma to these products. Designed to degrade within a specified timeframe, they transform into compost. This compost serves as a valuable fertilizer, enriching the soil and aiding plant growth, thereby completing a cycle of sustainable and eco-friendly usage and repurposing.
